Bridging Health Care’s Innovation-Education Gap

Thought this was surprising:
According to an analysis by McKinsey, while the productivity of the U.S. computer and semiconductor industry grew by 7.6% per year in the 1990-2007 period, the productivity of the U.S. health care industry dropped by 0.8% annually.

Reminds me of the Marc Andreeseen 2011 WSJ article that talks about how healthcare and education are the two industries that have been the slowest to receive the benefits of technological advancement.
